Advancing Health and Racial Equity Through Legal Strategies Project

The Advancing Health and Racial Equity Through Legal Strategies Project provides outreach and education to increase awareness of Kern County residents and community advocates on the challenges and their impacts faced by immigrant communities.

The project ensures low-income immigrant communities are better informed about available resources in the community and are knowledgeable about their rights when accessing services from health providers, local authorities, and more. An annual “Peoples Convening” addresses the systemic civil rights violations of immigrants and works with the community for resolution.
